- EQ: What is the most effective way to help with the development of an abused child
- Answer: For a child to have a positive transition from therapy to a normal life it needs to be thought the child's right to safety or the emotional or physical damage it suffered, is not normal and it wasn't there fault.
- Evidence: If a child is not taught its rights to safety it provides: 1. Repetition to its abuse as it would believe its normal 2. If it was physically abused it would think a way of showing affection or to control its partner its through physical abuse which would continue the cycle of abuse. 3. The child needs to know the steps it needs to take to prevent abuse.

Independent Component
1) I plan to work an extra 30 hours other than my service learning at the Pomona Unified Center to meet with the requirement.
2) Working in the program at Pomona Unified I plan to aid the children and their parents in their counceling sessions and helping my supervisor organize the classroom among other jobs.
3) This will help me anwering my essential question in getting more experince in my service learning giving me a chance to get real life experience with the children and what would help them in the recovery process.

Through this senior project going to my service learning at pomona unified. Talking with the children and the parents through their experience in the program, I've learned through the therapy that they go through that a child and parent could grow from this experience and get through it still having a somewhat stable family. This gave me an incentive to get in contact with my father who I haven't talked with for six years to see if we can mend our relationship which through this senior project it has opened up a new chance to get a better relationship with my father.

Self Reflection
Research
1. During this semester I think I've been gaining more knowledge with all the research I've gathered, but I still think I could learn more by researching and working nat my service learning. I think i deserve an Ap because I still haven't reached the level of proficient and need to improve.
2. I think I've done well in gathering research and looking at my service learner as working with the children at my service learner has giving me a good experience, on how much patience you need to take care for another human being. Seeing the stories of various child really brings you to value everyday life more as my senior project has taught me to value life more and gives me satisfaction to know that these children would confine with me their stories.
3.I would look for more research, as to look for better ways to help the children to look for an easier way on what they are going through. I would look for more opportunities to observe the people at my place to get experience.
